A grouping of Nationalists that was formed in April 1973. The main spokesperson for the Unity Movement was Frank McManus who at the time was Member of Parliament (MP) for Fermanagh-South Tyrone. The party called for the release of all 'political' prisoners, the establishment of a new policing service, and the repeal of emergency legislation. McManus lost his Westminster seat during the February 1974 general election.
