Committee on the Administration of Justice

* Material is added to this site on a regular basis, information on this page may change.

A group established in 1980 to monitor the administration of justice in Northern Ireland and to work for the highest standards in the administration of justice. The CAJ has pressed for reforms to the legal system in the region and has issued many frequent statements. It also commissions and publishes frequent reports on various aspects of the system of justice in Northern Ireland. The CAJ is a cross-community group which believes that the application of internationally agreed human rights standards to Northern Ireland should not be an issue for contention between the two communities. The organisation therefore works to remove sectarian attitudes from the debate on issues of justice and human rights. List of CAJ publications See also: Beirne, Maggie. (2016).
